Peter Allott, formerly of St Benedict's School, faces jail sentence
Peter Allott, the former deputy head at St. Benedict’s School and former ward councillor for Perivale has pleaded guilty to charges relating to the possession and making of indecent images of children and possession of a Class A drug. He entered his plea at Blackfriars Crown Court last week but the details have just been published today. 37-year-old Allott has admitted three counts of making indecent images of children, one of possessing indecent images of children, one of possessing extreme pornography and one of possessing MDMA. He is due to be sentenced on May 5 and a custodial sentence is considered likely. According to the National Crime Agency his activities were learnt of when intelligence was received that he had been using video conferencing software to share indecent images of children. He was arrested on 7 December 2015 and was charged in the Crown Court on 23 December after which time he was remanded in police custody. Matt Sutton from the NCA’s CEOP Command said: “Whilst there is no evidence that Peter Allott abused his position of trust at his place of work, we consider he posed a significant risk due to nature of the images he was sharing.”
