Police were called to Reynolds Road at the junction with Acton Lane, at approximately 3.55pm on Sunday, 29 December following reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles.

The three vehicles involved were a grey Mazda 6, a silver Toyota Prius and a silver Nissan Note.

The 76-year-old male driver of the Nissan was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital - he died there later.

Next of kin has been informed and formal identification is still pending.

A female passenger from the Nissan, aged 77, was also taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital suffering injuries - she remains there in a serious but stable condition.

A male driver of the Toyota was also taken to hospital as a precaution but was discharged.

Local road closures were put in place whilst police investigated. All roads were re-opened by 8.10pm.

There have been no arrests.
