Chiswick High Road branch sealed off after security guard attacked with hammer
A guard was hurt during a robbery on a G4S security van which occurred just before 11.45am today (24th December). According to police on the scene just outside Barclays Bank on Chiswick High Road, a sealed box was taken from the van although its contents are not known at this point. Two men attacked the guard with a hammers and then sped off on a moped with the box.
Firearms are not believed to have been used in the course of the robbery. An ambulance attended the scene but the guard is believed to have not been seriously hurt.
