Police received phone call from driver complaining of chest pains
Police are investigating an incident in which a car crashed through the front windows of the Metro Bank on Chiswick High Road early today (15 Oct). It is understood a man phoned police around 2am and said he had experienced chest pains and had lost control of his BMW vehicle, which then mounted the pavement crashing into the entrance of the bank. The clean-up after the incident An ambulance was called to the scene but it is understood the man did not require hospital treatment. The incident is being investigated as a road traffic incident. Locals described seeing a black BMW saloon embedded in the front porch entrance of the bank which is mainly glass. The bank has two ATM machines located in the porch. Nobody was injured in the incident and a clean-up operation commenced this morning. The car was removed from the scene. October 15, 2013 |
