27 year old football coach Karl Taylor has been charged with murdering Kate Beagley.

Kate was reported missing by her father on Thursday 31st May when she failed to arrive at work after her Wednesday night meeting with a man believed to be Taylor. Police subsequently launched a murder investigation after discovering her body in a wood near Watford.

Karl Taylor had been held by police since his arrest on Friday night on suspicion of kidnap was re-arrested on suspicion of murder.

Seeking clues to her disappearance, Police stated that Kate had called a friend at 8.20pm on 30th May saying that she was in Chiswick. Half an hour later she texted another friend saying she was in Richmond.

Her car, a grey VW Golf registration RA04TRZ, was seen on Chiswick Bridge at 11.58pm. The car was later found, along with another connected with the enquiry, in the Harlesden area.

Kate Beagley had worked as a sales compliance manager for British Gas (now Centrica) for the past ten years.

Using networking website Facebook, her friends posted emotional tributes yesterday. Earlier Camilla Corsan, wrote of the desperate efforts to find her friend, “We have been flyering around most areas, Richmond, Chiswick, Twickenham, Ladbroke Grove, Pimlico, Chelsea, etc,”

Kate's family today made a statement saying "Kate was a loving, thoughtful, dependable, loyal and tremendously popular daughter, sister, granddaughter, godmother and friend who was devoted to her family and friends. She was great fun to be with and had an uncanny way of always making those around her laugh, and was never happier than when spending time with family, friends and her godchildren.

Kate will be missed by everyone that knew her everyday and in everyway. Kate knew that she was dearly loved by all who knew her."
