A 15 year old boy received an indecent proposition from a male cyclist as he made his way home along the Thames towpath.

The incident happened on Sunday 15th April close to Chiswick Bridge after the teenage victim got off of the bus at Richmond Bridge and decided to walk home along the path next to the River Thames.

After a while he noticed a white male ride past him then stop. The man let the victim pass before repeating this action a couple more times before engaging the victim in conversation. The conversation began on general topics such as time of day weather conditions etc. then gradually turned personal.

As they approached Chiswick Bridge the suspect stopped in front of the victim and invited him to perform oral sex on him for money.

The victim laughed, said no way and made his way up the steps onto the main road leaving the suspect to turn his bike around and ride off back towards Hammersmith.

The suspect is described as a white male aged around 35-40, chubby build with short brown hair, possibly with an Australian or South African accent. He was wearing a bright yellow t shirt with round motif on chest, blue shorts and red backpack and was riding a gent’s mountain bike with orange coloured spokes.

Police are appealing for any information or witnesses to this incident. Calls are treated in confidence at Hounslow CID 0208 247 6160/5940 or anonymously on Crime Stoppers 0800 555 111.
