Section 60 order granted after violent incidents in South Acton

A Section 60 order has been issued for an area including Acton Green and Bedford Park in Chiswick. The police say this follows violence and heightened tension in the South Acton area.

The order was authorised by Inspector Dryell and runs from 5pm on Friday 14 August until 8am on Saturday 15 August.

It gives the police enhanced stop and search powers when looking for offensive weapons or dangerous instruments.
