Police tweeted ;'Two males arrested by ResponseTeamC and #CrimeSquad for robbery following an incident. Officers quickly on scene and stolen property recovered.' Witnesses said there were about six police vehicles in the area, one unmarked. One local said he was on the station platform when three young men were arrested. The area near Turnham Green tube station has recently been the centre of a number of attacks and muggings. Dispersal Zones were put in place earlier this week for Chiswick Homefields and Turnham Green wards, to prevent offenders carrying out their criminal activities- this was due to expire at 10 pm last night. Two weeks ago two males were taken into custody following a knife point robbery in the same area. Police have intensified their response to emergency calls from the Chiswick area following the upsurge in crime - . The emergency response teams of the West Command Unit are now backed up by highly trained 'Interceptor teams' equipped with high powered vehicles and tasers, as part of Operation Stallion.
