Miranda Spreads Christmas Cheer In Chiswick

Comedian spotted filming in local shops for her show

Miranda fans who watched her Christmas TV 'Miranda Does Christmas' special on Channel Four (December 26th) will have spotted a number of locations in Chiswick.

The comedian was at one staged filmed lying in a bed in the front window of Daniel Bedshop. One local resident told chiswickw4.com that he was startled to see the star sitting upright in the bed as he walked by the shop.

"She looked at me and beckoned for me to come in and lie on the bed beside her. I did think about it but I am 85 so maybe not quite what she had in mind."

Other scenes were filmed in Waterstones, and at the pedestrian crossing outside Carvosso, where a large tree was recently felled following flooding.

Another Chiswick resident also appeared on her show. David Tennant has lived in Chiswick for a number of years with his wife and family.The former Doctor Who and Broadchurch star gave Miranda a hug and kiss under the mistletoe.

Other guests included Sam Smith, Prue Leith and Susan Calman.

Miranda was filmed as she hit the streets to spread Christmas joy amongst unsuspecting seasonal shoppers, reward the good deeds of unsuspecting members of the audience and brings romance to two singletons – with a little help from her celebrity friends.
