Ant and Dec to Be Castaways

Duo to be on Christmas edition of Desert Island Discs

Chiswick's celebrity chums are to appear on Desert Island Discs in the final show of 2013.

BBC News has reported that Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will be the castaways on the last show of the series which is due to be broadcast on Radio 4 on December 29th.

The last time more than one person appeared on the show was over than 25 years ago when Spitting Image creators Fluck and Law were the guests.

Ant and Dec will both be allowed to pick two songs of their own and four together. They will each get their own luxury item and book.

They have had previous experience in tropical climates as the presenters of 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' the current series of which is currently being shown on ITV.

Other festive shows on Radio 4 include a version of National Velvet starring Alison Steadman and John Sessions and a Christmas edition of Just a Minute starring Pam Ayres, Stephen Mangan, Gyles Brandreth and Paul Merton.
