Britain's Got Talent presenter splits from girlfriend Georgie Thompson

Those mourning the end of Prince William’s bachelor status may be heartened to hear that Chiswick’s TV royalty Declan Donnelly is single again.

The presenter split with his girlfriend of two years after deciding he wasn’t ready to commit. Sky Sports presenter Georgie Thompson had been keen to take the “next step” in the relationship talking about marriage and children.

However Dec felt that the idea of Georgie moving into Grove Park home was too much.

“Georgie really didn’t see this coming and thought things were going well with Dec. She is really hurting because she thought he was ‘The One’ and didn’t want to break up,” a friend told The Mirror.

Georgie thanked fans for their support via Twitter, saying: “Breaking silence ¬momentarily simply to say thank you for all your kind messages this morning. It means a great deal at a difficult time.”
