The King's Speech reigned supreme at the BAFTAs held on Sunday 13th February winning no less than seven awards.

Colin Firth picked up yet another Best Actor award with his co-stars Geoffrey Rush Helena Bonham Carter both winning awards for best supporting actor / actress.

The King’s Speech also won Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Original Screenplay and Original Music.

The subject of an amusing spoof article, the 'rootless' Chiswick resident Firth thanked his family for being with him all the way from "a dancing queen to a stammering king".
