Adele Parks is one of best-loved biggest-selling women’s fiction writers in the country
She is one of the best-loved and biggest-selling women’s fiction writers in the UK, has sold over one and a half million books, her novels have been translated into 25 different languages and she has just published her tenth novel in eleven years. Chiswick resident Adele Parks' latest book, Men I've Loved Before, is set right here in W4. Described in the first chapter as "a leafy, villagey sort of place, awash with bistros, trees and arty types," t he story is a chick-lit dream, discussing the ins and outs of a perfect relationship and whether such a thing exists. The Guardian says "Parks writes with wit and a keen eye for detail... this will happily pass the time on the sun-lounger," whilst Heat claims that "This is Parks at her best." Born in Teesside in 1969, Adele studied English Language and Literature at Leicester University and then went on to work in advertising and management consultantancy. In 2010 she was awarded an honorary doctorate of Letters from Teesside University. Her first book, Playing Away, was published in 2000 and subsequently Adele Parks was named as one of the Evening Standard's ‘Twenty Faces to Watch’ for London. August 10, 2010 |
