Fire Brigade called to deal with a fridge leaking ammonia
Over fifty people were evacuated from the Chiswick Health Centre in Fisher's Lane this morning following reports of a chemical smell. Two units of London Fire Brigade, and specialist units to deal with chemical incidents attended the scene and removed a fridge which was leaking ammonia. The incident happened shortly before 11am. One man was treated at the scene after complaining of a burning sensation in his eyes. The fridge was removed outside the building and disposed of by the fire brigade specialist unit. The incident was over by around 11.30am. There are a number of GP practices in the Health Centre, which are usually busy during morning surgeries.
