A cyclist and a car were involved in a collision in the Fisher’s Lane underpass this Saturday evening (10 October). The incident occurred shortly before 6.30pm. The cyclist, a man in his twenties was treated at the scene and then taken to hospital. His condition is described as not life threatening. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was not arrested. The car involved remained at the scene which was taped off by the police Eye-witnesses report seeing the victim being treated by the roadside and then inside an ambulance by London Ambulance Service paramedics. The underpass was closed following the collision and the 272 bus was diverted. There was a build-up of traffic on the southern approach to the underpass despite the access restrictions currently in place. These have been widely disregarded or not seen by motorists since they were imposed by Ealing Council. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service have been asked for comment.
