Wellesley Road Closed After Van Mounts Pavement

Wellesley Road was closed in both direction this Monday night (9 October) after a van driver appears to have lost control of the vehicle.

The large white van mounted the pavement outside Gunnersbury Baptist Church near the junction with Burlington Road at some point shortly before 10pm.

The van was brought to a halt by a bike stand which was left at a 45 degree angle but the Metropolitan Police say nobody was hurt in the collision.

The road has since reopened.
