Road now reopened following collision between a bus and a van

Traffic along the Chiswick High Road (westbound) was disrupted and buses were diverted following a collision between a bus and a mini-van today (19th September).

Police closed off the area of the High Road from the junction near Carluccio's (Heathfield Terrace A3000) along by Turnham Green and up to Acton Lane. Bus routes 27, 237, 267, 391, 40 and H91 were diverted but are now back on route.

Long delays were reported for a few hours in a west bound direction though Eastbound traffic was flowing normally.

The incident happened sometime before 11 am. It is not known if there are any serious injuries sustained. The bus had an ' Under Instruction' sign on it.
