A man has been charged after a collision in west London involving a pensioner and her seven-year-old granddaughter, which left the 68-year-old dead.

Mariuzu Jusza, 36, of Greenford Avenue, Hanwell, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Detectives have arrested two more men in connection with a fatal hit and run where a pensioner out walking with her seven-year-old granddaughter was killed.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance were called to Boston Manor Road with the junction of Half Acre, at 4pm on Monday, 28 October, to reports of a collision between a car and two pedestrians while they were crossing the road.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and treated a woman aged 68. She was pronounced dead at approximately 1700hrs.

Her seven-year-old granddaughter escaped without injury. She was treated at the scene.

The car - a red Volkswagen Bora - did not stop at the scene. It was later found abandoned in a car park on Boston Manor Road.

A post-mortem examination at Fulham Mortuary gave cause of death as multiple injuries.

Police continue to appeal for assistance, and anyone with any information is asked to call the Road Death Investigation Unit on 0208 941 9011, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
