Cult comedy series was filmed in Chiswick this week
Filming took place in Chiswick this week for the cult comedy series People Just Do Nothing. The film crew was mainly set up around the audio shop Krish TV filming interior and exterior scenes on Wednesday and Thursday.
A spokesman for the shop said they had been approached by a television scout who was in Chiswick looking for ideal locations and who asked if they would agree to have some filming done in the shop. Krish AV has been in Chiswick since 2001- the shop had to close for business during the two days of filming. Staff are eagerly looking forward to seeing the finished product when it airs on screen. The BBC series, which was first broadcast on BBC Three in July 2014, is set in Brentford and Isleworth, and follows the lives of a group of young men, one of whom has set up a pirate radio station, Kurupt FM in his council flat. Much of the filming takes place around the Haverfield Estate in Green Dragon Lane. Created, written and performed by Allan Mustafa, Steve Stamp, Asim Chaudhry and Hugo Chegwin, the programme follows the lives of MC Grindah (Mustafa) and DJ Beats (Chegwin), who run Kurupt FM, broadcasting garage and drum and bass from Brentford. The show follows a mockumentary format, and was the first BBC Three programme to premiere exclusively on its iPlayer service. In October 2015, the BBC commissioned a third and fourth series, initially available on the new online BBC 3 channel and later on BBC 2. Series four will be released this year. In March the cast
