Chris Martin is a finalist for the Amused Moose Comedy award
Local comedian Chris Martin is one of the eleven comedians nominated for the prestigious Amused Moose Comedy Award at this year's Edinburgh Festival. Chris's show 'The One and Only Chris Martin' is currently playing at the Fringe Festival. He also broadcasts a regular Podcast with Carl Donnelly. Chris has been a stand up comedian for several years and has been on tour in the UK, USA Australia or New Zealand. He has also appeared on Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central),and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, as well as acting in ITV's Horrible Science series. Until moving to work in Hollywood earlier this year Chris and his wife, actress Hanna Stanbridge, ( BBC's River City), lived at Rusthall Avenue. Both he and Hanna have Edinburgh shows ongoing. Hanna’s new solo comedy show I Hate Myself So People Will Like Me aims to raise awareness and reduce stigmas around mental health conditions. Chris was born in 1986 at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, and educated at Kew College and St Pauls Boys School. Since leaving Newcastle University he has been a full time "stand up" comedian but retains his links with Chiswick where his parents Cathy and John Martin still live. He can sometimes
