The Chiswick Christmas Lights will be switched on at a ceremony starting at 6 pm on Thursday, 27th November outside the George IV pub on the High Road.

Local MP Mary Macleod will attend and councillor Paul Lynch will be MC for the event which will include carols sung by a local children's school.

Additional Christmas lighting will be provided this year along Devonshire Road up to Glebe Street and on Chiswick High Rd between Chiswick Lane and Goldhawk Road with the extra cost being covered by the council.

Several local shops are extending their opening hours to promote a Late Night Shopping Event that evening. Mary said she hoped residents would support local shops by doing their Christmas shopping in Chiswick this year.
