Joanna Biddolph takes over from Sam Hearn as head of the group
Joanna Biddolph has been elected as the leader of the local Conservative councillors' group, replacing Sam Hearn. The election took place at the AGM of the Conservative Group of Chiswick Councillors which is held once a year to reflect on the previous year, the coming year and to elect the officers for the Conservative Group for the next 12 months.
Councillor Patrick Barr (above) was elected deputy leader and Councillor Ranjit Gill (pictured below) was elected group whip, a post he held during the previous year. Further announcements will be made when details of spokespeople for the group have been finalised. Cllr Joanna Biddolph said, “I would like to thank Councillor Sam Hearn for all his hard work and commitment to the Conservative Group, particularly over this first year with six new councillors joining the team. I would like to build on his success as we work together as a strong and vibrant opposition team to tackle the many complex issues that the residents of the London Borough of Hounslow face in their daily lives.” Councillor Patrick Barr said, “I am really excited about this change to our group and very much looking forward to supporting Cllr Biddolph as group leader and working together, with my colleagues, to continue to ensure that the residents of the London Borough of Hounslow are at the centre of all that we do”.
