Five-year-old From Chiswick Becomes a Superhero

5-year-old Jojo who goes to Grove Park Primary School in Chiswick has become a superhero to raise funds for a special needs charity.
Jojo has autism, ADHD and asthma which has meant that he is classed as extremely vulnerable. As a baby Jojo suffered from bronchiolitis and was in and out of hospital. As a result he has been required to shield during the pandemic. To make the situation even more challenging for his mother Anita recently had a minor stroke and his 17-year-old sister Mya who has a bone disorder as well as autism, has been very seriously ill.
Despite this, Jojo decide to participate in National Superhero Day for the Caudwell Children’s Charity which provides support for kids with special needs. He created his own character Super Autisimo for the fundraiser which is sponsored by the children’s TV show PJ Masks. On 1 May he will take part in an on-line graduation day.
The charity has supported Jojo and his mum through lockdown and provided special sensory equipment as well as providing sensory online classes with other children with similar conditions.

Jojo and his mother wanted to give something back to the charity for its support. She said, “During Covid it’s been life changing so Jojo wants to be a superhero to other kids like him.”
