Unsigned solo artist Saber Cuts a Dash - also known as Chiswick resident Douglas Mackinnon - is releasing a single this New Years' Eve to help support the efforts of the charity Shelter in tackling homelessness.

The song, entitled 'A New Day Begins', implores listeners to "make the change and reinvent your world" and, as part of a catchy and optimistic chorus, looks to a "new beginning" in the world.

In tune with Saber's message of renewal, 'New Day' will be available for digital purchase at midnight on the 31st of December, complete with "Strummelina" and "Mellow Joy Instrumental" mixes.

Once released, 'A New Day Begins' will be available for a minimum price of £1, but buyers can donate more than this if they wish.

All proceeds will go to the charity Shelter, which seeks to end homelessness and bad housing in England and Scotland.

The single, mostly recorded in Chiswick, can also be pre-ordered from the link in the right-hand text box. For those who do so, one of the three tracks made available for immediate download.

Saber Cuts a Dash is currently recording an album of songs, to be entitled 'Organic Treasures'.
