George IV's assistant manager Phil Tottman, will be trekking across the Namib Desert in Namibia, West Africa for UNICEF children’s Charity in September 2011.

Until then he will be aiming to raise money for the cause and putting his hand at anything to do this.

A charity music night will be held at the George IV comedy club on Thursday 16th June. This is not to be missed, with plenty of bands, plus a raffle and special guests for your entertainment. Tickets will be £5 on the door, which will open at 7:30pm. !00% of the ticket money will go to the cause.

Phil is also currently training, practicing and preparing for a 24hour solo ‘jam’ session, which will be held at the George IV comedy club starting at midday on 12th May. He will be playing the whole time with various people joining him throughout this gruelling challenge. This will be filmed and featured on the George IV website, Facebook and YouTube.

If you wish to sponsor him, please contact the pub either via email, georgeiv@fullers.co.uk, or by calling them on 02089944624. Ask for the manager and all they will need from you is your name, telephone number and amount you wish to sponsor per hour.

Once again, 100% of all donations will go to UNICEF charity.

UNICEF is the worlds leading organisation protecting the rights of children and young people around the world. Children’s rights are being denied on a daily basis, including in emergencies such as natural disasters and conflict.

They work in over 190 countries to protect children’s right to be educated, to be healthy, to a childhood, to be treated fairly and to be heard. We work with local communities, partners and governments to ensure rights are upheld.
