Summer Swing Ball Extravaganza in aid of Teens and Toddlers

On Friday the 11th of June at 7.30 pm members of the outdoors fitness group Chiswick Bootcamp will host the Summer Swing Ball Extravaganza at the Hammersmith Club.

The idea, lead by Chiswick local resident Claire Thompson is to celebrate and promote the unity of the W4 community through an evening of high energy entertainment whilst raising money for Teens and Toddlers– a youth charity she feels passionate about.

Teens and Toddlers is a youth charity that works with disadvantaged teenagers to try and break the cycle of poverty by raising aspirations and offering young people choices beyond teen pregnancy. Their projects are designed to keep kids in education, give them the confidence to pursue a career, and to contribute to their community. So far, they have helped over 3000 young people across the UK with a particular concentration in London.

Claire Thompson, event manager says “It is overwhelming to see the community so excited about this event and the generosity of local businesses that have kindly donated prizes and their time to support this cause”.

The Summer Swing Ball Extravaganza includes a champagne reception, an ottelenghi style buffet by graduates of Leith’s Cookery School of Chiswick along with a host of fabulous entertainment such as: Red Lips burlesque and cabaret dancers, the jive dancers Attic Cats, live band Shirt Tail Stompers, and Swingland DJ Martin. Local businesses such as Zizi, Abode, Lara have also kindly supported the cause by donating items such as vouchers and garments you can buy at the charity auction.

The W4 community has the opportunity to support the charity while dancing the night away! Tickets cost £50 per person, £450 for a table of 10 or £20 after 10pm – for dancing only. Tickets can be purchased by emailing: summerswingball2010@gmail.com
