A river trip to celebrate centenary
Chiswick Horticultural and Allotment Society (CHAS) is sponsoring a Thames River Trip form Kew Pier to Tower Bridge and return on May 5th 2015 in celebration of their centenary. The boat will be he Princes Freda, one of the "small" boats used at Dunkirk. The boat leaves Kew Pier at 1045 and returns at approximately 1445. The cost is £40 including a welcome drink and finger buffet. Other forthcoming CHAS events include: Friday 8th May & Saturday 9th May A wide variety of vegetables and plants will be for sale including ones grown in the Society's greenhouse. Flowers for sale include non-stop Begonias, Verbena Glory Days, Salpigglossis Regale, Marigolds, and Petunias plus many more suitable for containers and baskets. The general public are welcome to shop on payment of a one day CHS membership fee of £1. The sale is being held at the Trading Hut located in the Staveley Road Allotments across from Chiswick School. Friday 8th May 18:30-20:00, Saturday 10:00-12:00 Wednesday 27th May - Visit to Mottisfont Abbey Gardens 0930 departure from Staveley Road Allotments across from Chiswick School. Returning from the Abbey at 1530. Cost £20 for CHS members and guests - plus National Trust special group entry fee of £9.00. There is no entry fee for current members of the National Trust.
