The Chiswick Horticultural & Allotments Society (“CHAS”) has announced the launch of its Rainbow Competition for children, to help combat the stress and boredom of isolation during this difficult period for everyone.

The competition challenges children to bring a smile to everyone’s face with their own interpretation of a NHS rainbow with a pot of golden flowers at each end.

The competition will run from Easter Sunday up to and including April 30th.

As John Gill, Schools Co-ordinator explains, “Entries are welcomed from two age groups: up to 7 years and 8 – 12 years old. All entrants will win a free Rainbow Chard seed and we will be giving a £20 voucher to the winners and Grow your own kits to the runners up”.

How to enter:

Once the drawing, collage, painting or street art is completed it should be emailed to us at shows@growchiswick.org . All submissions will be uploaded to our website and Instagram page and the winners will be selected by our panel.

Terms and conditions

1. Competition is open to all children up to the age of 12;

2. Add your child’s first name and their age;

3. One entry per child;

4. Competition open to UK residents only;

5. Entrants will need permission from a parent or legal guardian.

6. By emailing us your entry to our competition, you give permission for CHAS to publish your artwork on our social media and website.

7. Non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash.

8. Winners will be announced on 15/05/2020 and a representative of CHAS will contact the winners.

9. Prizes can be collected from the CHAS Trading Hut, opposite Chiswick School playing fields, Staveley Road, W4 2SJ once normal retailing is resumed.
