Bulls Head will close for a few days while being renovated
The Bulls Head at Strand on the Green is set to undergo a £100,000 makeover. The Chef & Brewer pub restaurant will close temporarily on Monday 23rd June to begin a refurbishment which will bring a fresher, brighter feel to the country pub, according to the owners. There will be new carpets, upholstery and painting throughout in the traditional style of the pub restaurant. The new fixtures and fittings will complement the Bulls Head’s existing period charm which dates back the 18th century, they say. General manager at the Bulls Head, Stephen King, said: “We are very lucky to work from a Grade II listed building in a beautiful setting. The refurbishment means we can update the look of the pub whilst keeping the historic character. “The investment will be a great boost to the pub and the local area." The pub will reopen for business on Saturday 28th June.
