ArtsEd has been ranked as the top drama school for overall student satisfaction in the 2018 National Student Survey (NSS) for the second year running, with 95% of all students saying that they were happy with their training.

With over 320,000 students from across the UK taking part in the survey, the NSS gives final year undergraduates a chance to comment on their course and institution, asking questions relating to eight different aspects of the learning experience.

This year’s survey results revealed how students felt about ArtsEd’s success, including one of the key aspects to training in the performing arts, industry preparation. This category saw 100% of respondents agreeing that they received good career advice throughout their time at ArtsEd and that they have been provided with the practical skills in order to learn and achieve effectively.

100% of students surveyed also believe that they have improved their career prospects by completing their course at ArtsEd, and 100% of students also believe that the practical activities on their course at ArtsEd have helped them to learn.

Principal Chris Hocking says;“We are always delighted to hear how our students feel about training at ArtsEd and are continually reviewing and refining our acting and musical theatre courses to ensure that the training we provide is of the highest quality and prepares students for the particular demands of today’s industry.

“Where I believe we really shine is in listening to our students – and our students have always had a strong and positive voice within ArtsEd. The 2018 NSS proves that with 90% of students feeling that their voice is heard, compared to the sector average of 69%.”
