They are looking for enthusiastic tenors and basses
The Addison Chamber Choir are now recruiting enthusiastic new tenors and basses.
The choir have a reputation for their large repertoire but have become particularly known for their performance of music by a wide range of contemporary composers, many of whom have written pieces especially for the choir.
Concerts in the past few months have included a memorial concert for Sir John Tavener, a concert with Gavin Bryars and his ensemble at the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, and one celebrating the 450th anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare.
Exciting plans for 2015 include two further performances as part of the Brandenburg Choral Festival (one at St Martin-in-the-Fields on Feb 28th), a concert of pieces with a Latin American flavour in March, and a performance at King's Place, London.
Bursary - A bursary to attract and retain young singers who demonstrate exceptional talent and wish to join the Chamber Choir may be available on application. The bursary covers all fees and music for one year and is conditional on also joining the Oratorio Choir and committing to singing at all Chamber and Oratorio Choir performances during the year.
Rehearsals are held at The Polish Centre in Hammersmith, W6 0RF on Wednesday evenings 6.30pm - 7.45pm, and start Wednesday Jan 14th 2015. Fees are payable termly but include all sheet music.
