Rock Choir Chiswick At The Town Hall

In aid of local charity Age Concern Chiswick

Rock Choir Chiswick are performing at Chiswick Town Hall on Tuesday 10 July at 8pm in aid of local charity, Age Concern Chiswick.

Chiswick Rock Choir leader Katy Seath explains.

“‘It is very special for the choir to be able to sing in the heart of the town and also help raise funds for an important local charity.  The members have been working hard and we know it's going to be a brilliant evening full of uplifting music and feel good moments”.

Age Concern Chiswick is a small independent local charity which has been serving older people in Chiswick and Brentford for over 60 years. It is run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers, with no central or local government funding. Their principal aim is to combat loneliness and isolation amongst older people by bringing them together in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. They host a friendship club twice weekly at their own premises in Oxford Road North, where members can join in various activities – keep fit, bingo, a craft group, talks, occasional tea dances and buffet lunches, and more. They also serve light refreshments, and members can enjoy a good chat over a cuppa.

Many of our members have lived locally for all their lives and have witnessed numerous changes in their neighbourhoods.
