JK Nails in Chiswick gets a visit from Council officials
The popular JK Nails shop on Chiswick High Road is closed at present following a visit from Hounslow Council officials. Health and Safety inspectors posted a notice in the window on Thursday. The nail bar is one of the most popular in Chiswick, with manicures, pedicures and other beauty treatments available at modest prices. The poster from LBH advised that persons found on-site during the investigation were not registered and were unable to produce confirmation of their qualification or experience. This is part of the terms and conditions of the 'Special Treatment Licence' needed to practise such treatments. The Council notice advised that failure to comply could put persons at risk and could lead to them "contracting health infections".
Nobody was available to comment from the nail bar. We have asked Hounslow Council for further details.
